Lithium comes from hard-rock spodumene mining (crushed and concentrated on-site) or brine extraction, and is one of the fastest-growing commodities on the back of battery demand.

Where it's mined: Western Australia is the largest hard-rock producer globally; Chile and Argentina's brine operations make up South America's "lithium triangle".

Common roles: Open-pit operators, processing/concentrator plant roles, and increasingly chemical/downstream processing positions.
