Yancoal Australia is a coal producer headquartered in Sydney, with mining operations across New South Wales, Queensland and Western Australia, including Hunter Valley Operations, Mount Thorley Warkworth, Moolarben, Middlemount and Premier Coal. The company employs more than 6,000 people, largely drawn from the regional communities surrounding its sites, and states its operations generated a direct and indirect economic impact of over $20 billion for Australia in 2025.
