Emergency Response Officer

• 8 days on, 6 days off Residential roster | Day and Nights | 12-hours per shifts

• Quarterly bonus up to $18K per annum + Premium Private Health Insurance

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Emergency Response Officer to join our KCGM operation in this 12-month fixed term position.

Reporting to the Emergency Response Coordinator you will play a vital role in maintaining emergency preparedness and response capability across site operations.

This dynamic position offers the opportunity to work alongside a highly skilled team. Leading emergency response activities, supporting rescue readiness, and helping ensure the safety and wellbeing of our workforce in a challenging and rewarding mining environment.

What you can look forward to:

• Participate in Risk Assessments as Subject Matter Expert to Emergency Planning & Response.

• Maintain operational readiness of identified safety and emergency response equipment and vehicles.

• Plan & deliver ER training to operational workgroups in emergency management processes.

• Plan, coordinate and/or execute external and internal training programs for ERT members.

• Act as First Responder for Incident Management.

• Develop, implement and maintain Emergency work procedures and promote high health, safety and environmental awareness.

• Plan and Execute Operational Emergency exercises

Where you’ll add value:

• Experience in an underground and/or processing mine environment

• Working knowledge of applicable WHS legislation, Australian Standards & relevant Industry Codes of Practice

• Good Computer Literacy

• Ability to meet physical demands of the role

• Experience in effective delivery of training materials

• Ability to communicate effectively across all levels, verbally and in writing. With strong record keeping and presentation skills

Qualifications:

• Certificate III Mine Emergency Response and Rescue (including BG4)

• Certificate IV Health Care or equivalent

• Current unrestricted "C" Class Western Australian Driver's License

• Certificate IV Work Health and Safety (desirable)

• Certificate IV Training and Assessment (desirable)

Supported by a strong residential workforce and longstanding mining history, the centre offers the opportunity to contribute across a large-scale operational environment within the Goldfields region.
