Performance Improvement Specialist

Western Australia, AUFull Time

This role at Wes Trac is based in Western Australia, AU.

A Catalyst. Not a Consultant.

Sponsored by General Managers and Executives, this is an opportunity for a results-driven improvement professional who thrives on turning ideas into measurable outcomes. As a trusted partner to your assigned WesTrac division, you will identify and lead complex cross-functional improvement initiatives, build alignment across diverse stakeholder groups, and deliver sustainable operational and commercial benefits. This is not a reporting or purely analytical role. We're looking for someone with a strong bias for action, a proven track record of delivering outcomes, the ability to influence without authority, and a genuine commitment to building end-user ownership so improvements continue long after the project is complete. Joining a high-performing team of improvement specialists and industry leaders, you'll have the support, autonomy, and visibility to make a meaningful impact across the business.

What You'll Do

• Lead complex, cross-functional improvement projects sponsored at GM and Executive level — from scoping through to benefit realisation

• Identify inefficiencies in manufacturing and service processes; quantify the opportunity and mobilise both frontline teams and management to act

• Pinpoint constraints in value streams and coordinate project activities with business stakeholders to deliver targeted outcomes

• Advise senior leaders on findings and directly influence business-critical decisions

• Serve as a business partner and SME to your assigned WesTrac division — shaping project and improvement scheduling

• Build strong working relationships with technical and functional SMEs, vendors, and suppliers in line with WesTrac's values

• Embed a culture of project discipline and continuous improvement that outlasts each individual project

Skills & Experience

• 4-5 years' project management experience leading projects of various sizes across Manufacturing, Mining, FMCG or Services

• Demonstrated track record as a change agent with strong commercial acumen

• Proven ability to plan and coordinate schedules, budgets, and quality project documentation

• Strong financial management experience, either formal or through budget accountability

• Demonstrated ability to lead multiple project and improvement initiatives simultaneously

• Recognised Project Management qualification (PMI) — Required

• Agile Project Management certification and experience — Highly regarded

• Lean Manufacturing knowledge — Highly regarded

• Tertiary undergraduate qualification in Business, Engineering or Science — Desirable
