Senior Advisor - HSEQ

Job Responsibilities

Health, Safety and Risk

• Ensure all HSES policies and procedures are followed and a proactive approach to HSEQ is maintained

• Perform all tasks and duties in accordance with established work procedures, safety policies and regulations/legislation

• Knowledgeable with Macmahon systems and Procedures in order to effectively implement in the projects

• Advise project management and project personnel of the requirements of legislation, guidelines, Codes of Practice and Standards relevant to the workplace

Technical/Operational

• Conduct and facilitate risk assessments with the respective departments

• Attend and contribute at safety meetings while on site

• Knowledge of HSEQ systems (i.e. Incontrol, Chris21, MDL, Chemwatch etc.)

• Advise and assist sites with ensuring compliance with the Management System procedures for Document Control and Control of Management System Records, ensuring policies and objectives are observed and followed in the execution of tasks

• Advise and assist sites with the coordination of the workplace inspection and audit system and undertake internal HSE audits of the system or associated processes, procedures and workplace practices

• Advise and assist sites in the implementation of the Macmahon HSEQ Management System standards, through the site specific HSEQ Management Plan and effective implementation and monitoring of the HSEQ Activity Planner

• Advise and assist implementation and facilitation of Safety Interaction programs and Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment Programs

• Ability to promote continuous improvement approach to HSEQ

• Advise and assist with HSEQ training in compliance with the relevant procedures/plans

• Monitor performance against the HSEQ strategic plan and objectives

• Complete all required lead indicator (HSEQ KPI) related activities (Task Observations, etc.), when on site

Commercial/Financial

• Assist with project start-ups and tender submissions for new projects

• Monitor, control and ensure that all work is conducted in a manner that ensures that the required quality is achieved within budget and timeframe

People Management

• Provide advice and training to site personnel as required to ensure compliance with the Macmahon HSEQ Management System

Team Contribution

• Support employees and contractors to comply with all relevant policies and procedures
