Senior Site Health, Safety & Environment Coordinator

Reporting to the Manager, Site Health, Safety, Environment & Radiation (HSER), the Senior Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Coordinator will lead the development, implementation, and continual improvement of a robust site HSE System for the Rook I Project, ensuring alignment with NexGen’s values, corporate standards, and regulatory obligations. As a key member of the site HSE team, this role provides leadership across health and safety programs, emergency preparedness and response, and environmental and compliance initiatives to support safe and responsible site operations.The Senior HSE Coordinator partners closely with the Saskatoon-based HSER, Environment/Compliance, and Integrated Management System (IMS) teams, as well as cross-functional site stakeholders (including Project Development, Exploration, Site Services and Construction), to ensure site activities align with permits, regulatory requirements, and corporate standards. The Senior HSE Coordinator mentors Health & Safety Coordinators, coaches supervisors and contractors, and promotes a strong safety culture while driving effective risk control, incident prevention, and continuous performance improvement across site operations. LocationThis position will be based at the Rook I site on a 2 week in/2 week out schedule.  NexGen’s Rook I Project Site is located approximately 155km north of La Loche, Saskatchewan. Accommodations and meals are provided while on rotation. Travel logistics to/from site are coordinated by NexGen.
