Bravus's Carmichael mine is an open-cut thermal coal operation in the Galilee Basin, about 160km north-west of Clermont in central Queensland. Construction began in 2019 and the site now produces over 10 million tonnes of coal a year, employing more than 1,500 workers and moving product to port via the purpose-built 200km Carmichael rail line.
