One of BHP's Western Australian Iron Ore hubs, developed in partnership with POSCO, Mining Area C sits around 120km north-west of Newman on Banjima country. Opened in 2003, the site now runs eight open-cut pits, three ore handling plants and a train load-out facility linked by a 39km spur line into the Pilbara rail network feeding Port Hedland.
