Part of Glencore's integrated Mt Owen Complex, this open-cut operation sits about 20km north of Singleton in the Upper Hunter Valley. Combining the Mt Owen, Ravensworth East and Glendell pits under one coal handling and preparation plant, the complex produces around 4.2 million tonnes of thermal and semi-soft coking coal a year and employs some 600 people.
