Prelude FLNG

Prelude FLNG is the largest floating vessel ever built, moored roughly 475 km north-north-east of Broome in the Browse Basin, on WA's remote Kimberley coast.

Life on board
Roster is 3/3 (three weeks on, three off), flying or sailing out of Broome or Perth. Cabins are single occupancy, some shared and some ensuite, and the galley covers every meal of the swing. Downtime runs through a gym, a cinema room and a recreation deck — the vessel is entirely self-contained, hundreds of kilometres from the nearest town.

Operated by Shell, Prelude has been producing gas off the WA coast since 2019, taking it straight from the wellhead to LNG, LPG and condensate without a single pipeline back to shore.
