About the Role
We are currently seeking a Lead Hand Supply Chain, a newly created role within our Commercial team. Reporting to the Supervisor Supply Chain, this position provides day-to-day operational leadership and technical support to the Supply Chain team while ensuring the safe, efficient, and accurate execution of warehouse and logistics activities across Red Lake Operations. The role will also require performing duties the same or similar duties of the Technician – Supply Chain.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting warehouse operations, inventory integrity, employee training and competency development, customer service excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role also acts as the primary operational contact for the warehouse team during periods when the Supervisor Supply Chain is unavailable.
This position is a residential role based in Red Lake, Ontario, working a 7 days on / 7 days off roster consisting of 12-hour shifts.

Compensation range: $105,000 - $130,000
Key Result Areas
Warehouse Operations
• Coordinate daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, dispatch, and delivery of materials.
• Allocate and prioritize work activities for Supply Chain Technicians.
• Monitor warehouse workflows and material movements to ensure efficient operations.
• Provide technical guidance and operational support to team members.
• Support resolution of warehouse operational issues and material discrepancies.
• Ensure effective shift handovers and communication of operational priorities.
Inventory Management
• Support inventory accuracy through effective inventory control practices.
• Verify materials are correctly labelled, stored, and managed.
• Assist with stocktakes, audits, and inventory reconciliations.
• Monitor inventory levels and escalate stock shortages when required.
• Support continuous improvement of inventory management processes.
Training, Mentoring & Competency Development
• Coach, mentor, and guide Supply Chain Technicians.
• Coordinate onboarding and workplace familiarization activities.
• Deliver practical training on warehouse processes and equipment operation.
• Conduct competency assessments and workplace observations.
• Maintain training and competency records.
• Promote consistency in warehouse procedures and best practices.
Customer Service & Logistics Support
• Deliver a high standard of customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate material deliveries to support operational requirements.
• Communicate material availability, delivery schedules, and service requirements.
• Assist with urgent material requests and logistics challenges.
• Foster collaboration between warehouse, procurement, logistics, and operational teams.
Safety, Compliance & Continuous Improvement
• Demonstrate visible safety leadership.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and security requirements.
• Participate in risk assessments, investigations, and corrective actions.
• Maintain exceptional housekeeping standards.
• Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
Qualifications
• Secondary School Graduation Diploma
• Train the Trainer designation preferred or willingness to obtain
Experience
• Minimum 4-5 years of experience in a warehouse or supply chain environment
• Experience providing leadership, coaching, or training in an operational setting is considered an asset
Skills & Competencies
• Good working knowledge of computerized ERP systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• High attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-task environment
• Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office applications
